Communications Manager Role
Austen Security Centre is a supplier and installer of digital security hardware in Gauteng check out our website www.austen-security.co.za . The owners of the company are Jason Green CEO of Mutual Austen Safes and myself Andre Swart (Managing Director) of Austen security Centre.
Austen Security Centre (ASC) is expanding its footprint nationally via a franchised network. We are a small organisation with an average annual turnover of R3.5M and full time employees totalling three dedicated staff. Our franchise offices are in Hatfield PTA , these offices are modest as they are brand new (2 months).
Our objective is to grow in to the premium 1 st choice supplier and installer of security hardware to all business ‘across South Africa. Our specific target clients are retail stores, banks, industrial sites such as engineering firms etc...
We are looking for:
a stable, attractive, presentable, competent, well spoken, bi-lingual female that can do the following:
Handle a telephone – you will be making appointments for franchisees, conduct customer surveys, conduct tele-research, handle franchise specific enquires, and other general telephonic duties
Handle a PC – information will need to be transferred via reports, emails and basic spread sheets, a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system will be used. If you can type on a PC keyboard and have a basic understating of email and excel you'll be fine.
Handle Social Media – a huge part of ASC's marketing and growth strategy will be through all social media channels such as Twitter, Face book, linked in, Google, you tube etc... you will on a daily basis post tweets and update face book pages. An hour a day will be dedicated toward research regarding all matters of interest specific to our business, franchisees and clients – these matters will then be rebroadcast via our various channels (twitter etc...) THIS CAN BE EASILY LEARNT
Work well with others – constant communication will be required between all parties involved in ASC so TEAM WORK and friendliness is imperative
Be a realist – times are tough so hard work and innovation are compulsory!
Be goal orientated – a basic salary will be offered with various incentives
Be willing to assist me – as I will be the driving force behind growing the franchise network you would also be required to assist me on certain tasks not mentioned above

Position is full time and a basic salary of R7000.00 after tax. A contract will be signed in accordance with all relevant basic conditions of employment including a three month probation period. No added benefits are as of yet available. Work hours are Monday to Friday 9 – 5. The company is small today but on a rapid growth path over the next couple of years so it will be possible to grow with us.
