Shout SA shooting new video
March 2012 will not only see the second anniversary of SHOUT, but also the launch of the new SHOUT song and music video.
The new music video which features some of the greatest celebrities in South Africa is currently being shot in Johannesburg at Constitution Hill and Main Street Life.
"The new SHOUT video will again capture the hearts and spirits of South Africans. We have gathered a remarkable list comprising 120 of the country's biggest and brightest stars on a brand new song that will go a long way in raising money in the fight against crime. We look forward to the country joining voices when it's released in early 2012" said SHOUT founding member, Danny K.
Some South African celebrities to look out for in the upcoming video include rockers Prime Circle, rapper HHP, former Leeds United and South African soccer player Lucas Radebe, Springbok Bryan Habana, Kurt Darren and The Arrows.
Constitution Hill is a city precinct, anchored by the South African Constitutional Court – the highest court in the country on constitutional matters. Constitution Hill is also the site of Johannesburg's notorious Old Ford Prison Complex, where thousands of ordinary people were brutally punished before the dawn of democracy. Main Street Life is a new development at the corner of Main, Maritzburg and Fox Streets. Developed by Jonathan Liebman, it has more to offer than the average apartment block. The 1970s industrial building has been transformed into a mixed-use complex offering live/work studios, shops, a rooftop venue and hotel. These two venues were chosen as the backdrop for the new SHOUT video for their aesthetics and the beautiful views of the Johannesburg skyline.
Multiple SA Superbike champ and Kawasaki stalwart Sheridan Morais is another one of the SA greats that will appear in the new music video. "It was really good hanging out with our local superstars and the film crew at the shoot," he says of the experience. "I must give a huge thanks and congratulations to SHOUT and the team for the effort that has been put into this initiative and for giving me this opportunity to make a difference."
"It's so awesome seeing major players from different industries show up and lend their support to this cause. I'm excited to be part of a collective who choose to use their influence in our society to make a difference" said co-founder Kabelo Mabalane of SHOUT.
Many South Africans have been affected by crime in one way or another. SHOUT allows people to do something about it, giving people the opportunity to fight back and work towards a safer South Africa. All monies raised through downloads of the songs or donated to SHOUT are distributed to various charities and causes that help in the prevention of crime as well as to help victims affected by crime.
